Spotlight: Looked to be going places when winning a Glorious Goodwood handicap (1m2f, good to firm) last year but he missed the rest of that season; nothing to shout about in four starts this term but a change of scenery (has left William Haggas) may do some good and it's interesting his owners are sticking with him; reduced mark, wind surgery and first-time hood are other reasons why a revival could be on the cards.

Spotlight: Improved form for James Tate and she followed a narrow defeat in a Nottingham novice in July by opening her account in a Ripon maiden (also 1m2f, good) last month; opening mark looks workable and she's of interest on this handicap debut.

Spotlight: Admirable handicapper who is also prone to the odd off day and showed both sides of his coin in two 14-runner C&D handicaps this year, winning in April but only ninth in May; solid third of eight at Sandown when last seen in June; has gone well after a break.
